In the View Dropdown only check (whatever) Player View and Current Playlist Window... if the Online Media etc. Window won't toggle off.... go to the bottom bar of that pane until you get a resize pointer and drag it up until it basically becomes a single bar ... then if you close MJB and reopen it should be gone.... It is a real pain that if you open any of these other options components the player splits apart and you basically have to go through a reassemble to get a more compact single docked view ... this also seems to happen by default when you upgrade... -- Got a VAIO? | oh hey! thanks for the reply...but the issue has not been solved...:(
I am not sure if I made myself understandable though...umm...here's what the problem is...:
say, I am playing some music from the playlist. I have the library open. I want to see the lyrics of my song, so I click on NOW PLAYING. But, instead of my track tags, some online page comes up...of course I can go to View>Now Playing (track Tags) to see my track tags, but going to the view menu every time is a BIG pain in the backside...MMJB seems to take for granted that I am online...
I don't have anything, except the playlist, player, and library open by default...so I don't quite get where the resizing comes in!
well, this is just one of my MMJB blues...the mouse wheel bug is ANOTHER BIG PITB (pain in the backside!:p)
Expecting all your help! Thanks in advance!;) |

| reply to howie Aha... I guess I've developed my personal workaround without really thinking about because of all that bloated on line / library / album info / purchase etc. I have my settings as above not showing the Library when opening MJB ... Then for access I chose File/Open and access the Library/Playlist or whatever from there and to view track tags I then right click the selection and chose Edit Track Info to view the basic tag info, lyrics etc. for the track ... Still rather clumsy but avoids a lot of the other bloat crap. -- Got a VAIO? Visit the Village:»www.vaiovillage.com |

| reply to howie I wish, especially for the Pro customers. I tend to blame the success of iTunes and the competiton for these other paid cash cows that spun this bloated frenzy ... the less is more/ if it ain't broke has caused me to roll back to earlier versions of MJB on several other of my systems. -- Got a VAIO? | reply to vslape Hi I just installed version 10 previously had version 9-free version. I am stuck with the shellconhiddenwindow not responding when turning off pc, just as you were. I unchecked the mim.exe in the start up panel and the shellconwindow problem went away. My question now is, as soon as I open MMJB 10, the mimboot starts by itself and then I stuck with the same problem. How can I get around this? Should I re-check it each time before opening and then closing MMJB10? Is there a better way that anyone has figured out? Thanks a bunch, Shelley Windows XP SP2. |
