[Streamyx] Creating Streamyx's Outlook Express email account.

I'm a streamyx user.
I'm using Aztech DSL 600EU Router.
As you know, this ADSL modem doesn't need users to
create dial up. Users just need to setup the DNS
server which is and at
the Ethernet card Properties.

I've tried setting up my Streamyx email account
using Outlook Express.

I can only send emails but I can't receive them.
There seems to be a problem with pop.streamyx.com.
I've followed all the instructions on how to setup
this Streamyx email account including unclicking
the "Log on using Secure Password Authentication".
Then it asked me to confirm my username & password.
As you know, I've explained earlier..the Aztech ADSL
600EU doesn't need me to create a dial up (username &
password) in order to get connected to the internet.

I hope you can help me solve this problem.

Thank you.

Outlook Express 1

Outlook Express 2

Outlook Express 3
Above pictures are the streamyx configuration for Outlook Express.

I'm using Thunderbird Email Client.
I can received and send email through this settings.

1) Incoming Server Type: pop.streamyx.com port: 110

2) Username: fullname@streamyx.com

3) Uncheck the "Use secure connection" (SSL) or "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" --Maybe this causing the trouble

4) Outgoing Server Type: smtp.streamyx.com port: 25
Username: fullname@streamyx.com
Use secure connection: TLS, if available

Good Luck,
I hope this can solve ur problem!

Hi Yusrie,

To check the connectivity to TM Net's POP server, you can use the basic telnet function at DOS prompt. Follow the commands below:
At DOS prompt:
c:>telnet pop.streamyx.com 110

If the connection is OK, you should receive a reply from the server as follows:

Connected to pop.streamyx.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
+OK ready

Then log in, just type:
USER userName
This should give you:
+OK Password required for userName.

Now give your password, just type:
PASS passW0rd
Should yeild:
+OK userName has ? visible messages (? hidden) in ????? octets.
