Re: home wireless network with 3 blocks or more range?

Im still new to the whole networking scene, but I may have some advice for you. My uncle is a truck driver, and he has a wireless internet service on his laptop that can be accessed from almost anywhere in the country, so he can use it on the road in multiple states. Im pretty sure that the signal is broadcast through either a satalite or a cellular phone antenna (the big ones that give you service). I am not sure who provides this service or what pricing would be, but I know that the speed of it is fairly poor. My uncle was showing me at my house once, and his signal bar was about halfway, and the speed was about like 56k. Sorry I don't have much information for you, but maybe someone else here on the forums knows what I am talking about, so they can elaborate on what has been said if you are interested.
