I completely agree. And why is this just a tax on possible illegal music downloads? Couldn't our hypothetical pirate download movies illegally too? Shouldn't the computer manufacturers pay Germany's equivalent of the MPAA a tax also? What about possible warez downloads? Book downloads? Downloading quilting patterns without the copyright owner's permission? Hey, if we add enough taxes onto it, no one will be able to afford a computer and online piracy will drop!
