I had seen the term 'whois' a lot, but I thought it was a website, not something here are BBR:)
The web site I was looking for is »www.arin.net. That's probably where BBR goes for it's 'whois' |

i tried 6 different ips for my work, the closest it came was 150 miles off. the really wierd thing is i check 3 from each of the 2 blocks of statics i have and they all came up with different cities.

| I think the Geobytes site is very dependent on people having used it, reported their own IP and given their address. I've seen it hit things right on target, and as someone else noted, I've seen it hundreds of miles wrong.
