Excessive traffic on port 11768

Beginning at about 6:15pm last night (EST), my firewall began logging an extremely unusual amount of traffic to port 11768. So much traffic the logs that normally get e-mailed once per hour, filled to capacity, and only recorded the last 10 minutes or so of each hour. This continued until the router (ZyXel 10W) pulled another IP address from my ISP about 2 hours ago.

The traffic has stopped, but I'm intrigued why all of a sudden I began getting relentless traffic on that port. Could not find any info on any registered uses for that port number, and I did a whois on several of the probing IP addresses. All over Europe, China, and S.America. As far as I can tell, I had the same dynamic IP for a week or so before this traffic started, so I can rule out getting the recently used IP of some P2P user.

Any ideas? Thanks.
