said by KrazyDawg :Does anyone know of any good authentic chinese or japanese restaurants in the area? I've a compiled a list of places that I'm planning to try below: Thai Old Town Restaurant 300 King St Alexandria, VA 22314-3212 Phone: (703) 684-6503 I'd be surprised if this turns out to be a Chinese or Japanese restaurant, but I guess I've seen some misleading names for restaurants in my time.
If you do want to expand your thread to Thai and Vietnamese let me know, but I'll shut up for now in case that's OT.
I love sushi. My wife and I go to Yoko's in Herndon a lot because it's close and the sushi is good. It's right on Elden Street in the same shopping center as K-Mart.
Two other Japanese restaurants whose sushi I have loved:
Tachibana 6715 Lowell Ave McLean
Tako Grill 7756 Wisconsin Ave Bethesda
Cheng's is a very popular Chinese restaurant in my neck of the woods. It's in the Regal Center on Route 7 in the Countryside section of Sterling.

But if it gets expanded to Korean »www.koreandc.com/restaurant/list.cfm Han Sung Ellicot City. Great sushi but don't think its worth a drive just for sushi, family style Korean is a different matter. If interested in sushi, my experience has been that there are a lot of other nationalities that do a great job of this in non-Japanese restaurants. -- A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold |
