DNS relay on/off
Hi!

I have borrowed a DI-614+ from a friend. (Yes, I fried my Netgear and having it exchanged for free.)

Frequent reboots, i.e. every five seconds or so, just as I remembered.

Tried to disable "DNS relay" in the router (and ran "ipconfig /renew" on the machine). It worked!

No reboots anymore, and higher transfer speed. If I succeeded in attaching an image, you'll have a very unscientific proof.

I guess the router doesn't get as badly stressed when the DNS requests go directly to my ISP. I assume it tried to cache them previously.

Might work on other routers as well.

Turned on DNS relay once more, then turned it off again.
Still working...

Forgot to tell:

eMule: no Kad, 600 connections
router: fw 2.33

I want to downgrade backto 2.3!
I'm sure that this is a router problem - connecting PC directly to modem solved the problem.
Does anybody have fw 2.3 for ver.C ?
DLINK support said I shall use overnet funny, right?

What's been the result of this DNS Relay OFF?

Has that indeed fixed the problems?

Will this work on a DI-624 also?
