I just got my cable service from comcast but I cant get a connection. Im using the terayon modem they provided but it cant get a signal from the cable. I called CC tech support but they werent much help. What should I try. I dont really want to have to call them to my house to get it fixed but I will if I have to |

| Hello daveangell20 and welcome to the BBR Comcast HSI forum.
How are you posting now, if you can't receive a signal?
Can you provide more information about your connection, overall? When you try to connect your cable modem to your PC, what are stats of the cable modem lights in front?

| OK - let's try doing some troubleshooting here. Remove the splitter your cable modem is behind, and connect the cable modem to the drop line. Now, check your signals afterwards at: »192.168.100.1 - copy and paste them here. -- The real tragedy is the tragedy of the man who never in his life braces himself for his one supreme--he never stretches to his capacity, never stands up to his full stature.

| reply to daveangell20 Just making a comment for kicks.... My cable modem from Comcast has an internet button on it that if you don't press to turn it on, it blocks all traffic but shows connection to comcast. May want to check to see if you have one of those buttons. -- You can make a difference. Join Team Discovery! |
