[INFO] Something New & Exciting for the SE Forum

Something wonderful is being offered to us here in the SE Forum

jazzman916 See Profile has graciously offered to create a page for each state represented here, so that the SE Forum subscribers of the BBR Monitoring Service can track their line stats and compare them with others in their state.

Applications are now being accepted for

»Southeast Forum Line Monitors

This is the info needed to create the graph monitoring.
If you aren't 100% comfortable with posting it here in this thread, you may send an IM to:
jazzman916 See Profile or lilhurricane See Profile

Your Username
City/State
ISP
Line type (static/dynamic)
Line Speed
Monitor Number (see example below)
Setup (modem/router)
Connection Type (Cable, DSL, etc)

Monitor Number

Important Note: Even if you have a static IP, you must create the account as a dynamic IP. If you already have a monitor set as static, you may change it to dynamic but you may lose your historical data.

Basic monitoring is (was) free for signups prior to September 25th 2000. New signups cost 1 Tool Point per week. This does not mean accounts prior to that date, it refers to monitoring begun and continuously maintained since before that date.

If free monitoring was interrupted and then re-initiated, it is no longer free.

For security and privacy, BBR uses a cookie feature so that if you are logged in, only you can see your static IP graph. But for those that are not logged in, the graph is not visible, it will appear broken. So setting the graph to a dynamic IP will allow everyone to see the graph while the IP will remain hidden.

Remember, the more people that participate the more useful the information will be when comparing stats!

Thanks jazz!!

Jazz, mine is already in the Bellsouth forum. if you want to link to it here too, it is #210130

i also have one on Dixie-net. it is 198749 and has pretty much the same specs as the bellsouth one. i just changed it from static to dynamic, so it will take a little while for the graph to show.

just in case you are lazy :

WOW! This is absolutely great!

I'll have to find out what my official speed is from RoadRunner, since they allagedly upgraded it to 5000/768 recently.

Thank you jazzman916 See Profile.

Edit: I just signed up for line monitoring, not sure how long it takes for the graphs to populate with data.

Edit Edit: Ah, I think it's coming through now. I had to read the FAQ to find out how to "feed" it my IP.
