| Re: [DIRECTV] Direct TV receiver D10-300 Actually, each DirecTV receiver... D10, D10-200 and D10-300 run off the same code. As an installer, I've been in customer homes where they actually have one of each, and I can take any remote and control all three.
Also, I've tried using an RCA satellite remote on a D10 and D10-200 with no luck, using the default code. More than likely, the same holds true for the 300 as well. -- Mediacom Online: $45.95 3000/256. Yep, I'm satisfied.

| Re: [DIRECTV] Direct TV receiver D10-300 The original D10 is also an RCA, but the D10 200 software is same as a Samsung SIR S-300W. I think the D10 is a RCA DRD 430-RG, and the D10 300 is a RCA 435RH. I guess the new white remotes will control all of the D10's like you said, I just have not had the chance to try it. All we are getting in the warehouse are the 200's. -- It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and were wearing sunglasses. Hit It ! | |

| Re: [DIRECTV] Direct TV receiver D10-300 Actually, the D10-300's are more like the Phillips 5500c. From what a DirecTV CSR told me is that the D10 are made by RCA, D10-200 are the Samsung, and the 300 is the Phillips. If your wondering what happened to Hughes, DTV's 4th manufacturer, they are making the R10. Not sure who is making the HD receiver. -- When life throws you lemons - ask for tequila and salt. | |

| Re: [DIRECTV] Direct TV receiver D10-300 The DTV HR-10 menus look sort of like an RCA but I'm not sure either. Yeah I forgot the 300's is a philips 5500, I havent had any of those in a while. What bugs me is the 200's are all set to oval-3 dish out of the box, and have to reset them at install. -- It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and were wearing sunglasses. We haven't gotten any of the 300s yet, so I'm curious as to how similar they are to the 5500s.
What bugs me about the D10 and the 200 (and most likely the 300 as well) is that DirecTV is too cheap to include the RG-59 jumper cable! They still include an S-video cord, but no jumper cable?! Bastards. -- Mediacom Online: $45.95 3000/256. Yep, I'm satisfied.

1 edit | Re: [DIRECTV] Direct TV receiver D10-300 Also no DVI cables in the DTV HD receivers, warehouse will supply them but manager says have to bring back unused component cables. No more private stash. Drat ! -- It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses. Hit It !
