What do I unlock to get my Torrents in the green?

Hello, i'm trying to unlock my 5200 so my bit-torrents are in the green and not yellow. I have done everything to get to the page to configure your settings (unlocking your speedstream E242) but I do not know what settings to change. All I want is to become "Connectable".

Thanks

Re: What do I unlock to get my Torrents in the gre

You need to explicitly forward the port(s) that you use for BT to point to your computer's IP. This is easiest done if you change your TCP/IP settings in Windows to use a specific IP address like 192.168.2.3 instead of the different IP that DCHP gives you when you boot your PC.

Then you need to go into your unlocked 5200's port forwarding settings and associate the IP, say 192.168.2.3 to the BT port(s) that your client will use. This is usually 6881 (or the range 6881 to 6889.) Some clients like Azureus are happy with one port; others use a different port for each torrent. Because some ISPs block 688x, some trackers insist that you use a different block, e.g. 46881, etc. Consult the torrent site's FAQ for more info.

See »portforward.com/efficient/5200.htm for more info.
