[wired] Linksys EG005W Switched back to Wired

I have been having problems with my line from my provider, but this prompted me to change my configuration, I have a DSL modem and had the WRT54G next to it, with my xbox and MSNTV2 wired and my computer on wireless.

I now changed to a Linksys EG005W Gigabit switch I bought last week at CompUSA for $99 I also got a new Gigabit nic for my computer and all CAT 6 cables for the xbox, computer and MSNTV2 and I am so happy, the Gigabit switch works great, and on the wired devices I do see a noticable performance increase over the WRT54G.

One note my DSL modem also has a built in router, so I really didnt need the WRT54G to begin with, if I need wireless again, I will go with a Wireless Access Point not a Router.

Before I bought the Gigabit switch I searched here and saw some posts from last year complaining about a FAN in the Linksys switches, mine does not seem to have a fan and has stayed very cool, if it does have a fan I cannot hear it and don't feel ny air movement coming out of the switch, its been on 24/7 and is much cooler than the WRT54G, I guess I will go put it on ebay for $10 and see what happens.
