| HAPPILY will I get rid of Comcast
No one will argue that dealing with Verizon has its trying moments, but after the utterly ludicrous price increases that have been going on for DECADES under the cable industry, the practically zero level of infrastructure improvement until the competition is breathing down their necks, the fact that nearly all cable systems you have in your town and mine were actually paid for by you and me, after all that and more I'll be happy to get rid of Comcast. Oh and before you worry too much about Microsoft, be aware of how much of your cable company they already own and then maybe have a slightly deeper look at those 'digital' cable stations and I think you'll think twice.
Comcast has barely, and I do mean absolutely barely, made the "customer service" grade for modern companies. The idea that you still have to have on site "you wait for them" appointments is ridiculous. The "invisible" limits on downloads, the very fact that they could be giving you a 30/1 mb line (the limit of Docsys 2.0 as I understand it) but simply won't until pressed by competition, is just a sign of their charging you the most they can extract from you while giving you the least they are forced to in return. It should be their company motto. You don't think they could have been using all those 10% fee increases to build fiber for themselves? Oh yes they could. Instead they'll whine to the towns and states for money, or raise fees by some huge %, saying "need to increase core infrastructure rebuilding required" as the reason. They're quite happy to tout all their financial success to investors of course.
I for one will be happy to be rid of them and never look back... |
