Your System - February 2005

Post your system specs if you've built/bought a new system during the month of February.

If you've changed your system, put "ADDED" next to the new component(s).

If you haven't changed anything - don't post!

I got the 'HP Advanced Port Replicator' to go with it.

- Logitech MX900 Bluetooth Wireless Mouse
- Sony DRX-710UL Dual Layer DVD Burner (connected via IEEE 1394 interface)

The laptop is actually a hand-me-down. This is my bosses old box. He's only had it for like 10 months. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. He claims he can't do development on it. Not enough "horsepower." Works great for me though!!!

Just built a new system for a relative. Here are the Specs:

Intel D865PERLK i865PE P4 800FSB Skt478 DDR ATX Motherboard w/Audio, Gigabit LAN, RAID/Serial ATA
Intel P4 3HGz CPU
1GB DDR 3200 400Mhz Corsair RAM
Seagate SATA 200GB HDD
ATI All-In-Wonder 9600 AGP 8X 128MB DDR Video Card w/TV-Out & Video-In
Thermaltake W0023 Silent PurePower 560W w/Active PFC
Antec Performance Plus Series PlusView1000AMG SOHO File Server (Metallic Gray)
Plextor PX712SASWBL 8-in-1 Serial ATA Internal DVD±R/RW & CD-R/RW Drive (Black)
and i really like the monitor
Samsung 910T-BLACK SyncMaster 19in Analog/Digital LCD Monitor (Black)
also runnin on win XP prof sp2

it uses the sound on the board but there is plenty of space in this box and on the motherboard to expand.
the only issue i have with this box is that it can't seem to handle firefox well. on all my other computers it's running ok but on this one it just hangs every once in a while. i started another post about that here where i talk more about that problem. Anyway. it seems to be a pretty stable system but for that issue.
