Beleive me i work for dsl company and customer always have spyware issues. I have them download spybot and it fixes everything.... unless its already too late and ur winsock is ruined ... i hate fixing winsocks
Why hate Webroot? It's good software. It does it's job (removing Ad/Spyware) as well as the big boys, includes nice auto-updating features, (for those not liking to play with IE-Spyad) and the software is very reliable. True, it would be more cost-effective to use Spybot/Ad-Aware/IE-Spyad (free), but this commercial product does what it claims well, and it's the user's choice wether or not they want to pay for use of this product.
Plus...have you seen some of the competing for-pay Ad/Spy/Crapware vendors? Some just rip-off the freebies, and some even install crapware themselves! Another big plus for Webroot. |
