So i cant figure it out but my original problem still remains....my router craps out every few hrs...and sometimes every few minutes. the only way I have found is every time my connection stops communicating I have to reset the router. as you can imagine it is a time consuming and annoying thing to do repeatedly every day, but if you know how i can stop it let me know. I assume that its the router firewall, but I cant seem to disable it thru the connection point homepage.

PS thx for the quick replies earlier everyone that was a crucial problem for me.

From what I have been able to find, that router has had an issue with maintaining a connection since it was released. I have not seen anything saying it was fixed but the first thing I would do is make sure you are running the most recent firmware.
