Re: [Other Providers] vonage vs att pros and cons DND, AKA "do not disturb" is a well known feature. Voicepulse had it and so did Broadvoice. Vonage does not have it, but I got a clue that it may be coming. If I log into my Vonage account and direct all incoming calls to voicemail that's the same as any DND. So, without getting technical, Vonage has it also. |

 | Thanks for teh correction..I was rather sure Vonage did not have this service yet, but I think you are right...it is something they really do need to add to compete with other VOIP providers. -- TALKABOUTVOIP.COM VOIP FAQ's Questions Answers Professional Help |

2 edits | I couldn't tell you but thats how DND works. You get a VM message stating "whatever" proceeded by if this is an emergency press "num", the call then rings through. Setting forward to VM on the Vonage service still rings the line one time before being forwarded. Really not a DND.
Another annoying call feature on Vonage that needs some modification is the call forwarding. You can forward a call if "call" is not answered to another number. Works great except when your on the phone and another call comes in which you choose not to take. That call then forwards to the third number. It just lacks granularity and control that other providers offer. Some offer CF if busy, control via phone (Vonage does not), CF during selected times, the list goes on. It would be nice if one didn't have to have access to a browser to control and change phone features. In many instances it's a pain in the you know what! |
