This can't sit well with the people who actually bought Adware SE Professional. People who bought Lavasoft Adware did so expecting Lavasoft will do their best to catch all spyware. Having a back room deal with a spyware vendor is a breech of an unwritten agreement between Lavasoft, and the users who paid for the service.
Spybot S&D is no better. If you open Spybot and click on advance mode -> settings -> Products; you will see four spyware products that set to be ignored by default. It looks like Spybot is just as shady as Lavasoft to me. |

| Download Microsoft Anti-spyware beta. Its free ,has a better scan and detection engine than ad-aware. And cant be bought by spyware companies. I will never again trust ad-aware ,upon further digging WhenU isnt the only spyware or adware app they have removed in the last few weeks/months . I have uninstalled the sellouts. The MS product seems to catch allot the others dont and has free real time protection. Thumbs up to Bill gates on this one. |

At least with Spybot you can change the setting for those 4 objects to have them sought out.
I disagree with Spybot S & D being shady. A free program offered by a man who asks for nothing but a donation to keep things going. Even if some sort of deal was made to have those 4 items set to be ignored in a search the developer obviously gave the user a way to change those settings. Even then you are just assuming that something is wrong with Spybot, do you have some proof that Spybot S & D is up to no good? |

| Well let me ask if a software company load ads in your pc to carry around what do you call that?Is that like a thief sneaking into your home as you open the door to go into your home and hiding? Last time i check the law on that it's call breakin and entering catagory rated as felony. I rest my case. |

| That is still not proof that Spybot S & D is up to no good. No proof equals no case so...
If there was proof that Spybot S & D was in league with the adware folks I am sure someone here at DSLR would have found it and posted the info by now.
I rest my case. |

My question...will AdAware let us 'click on' protection like S&D? If that's the case. Hey. we all gotta eat. -- "Everybody has something to hide 'cept for me and my monkey" John Lennon |

@indiana.edu | I can't find anything that Spybot is automatically not detecting. Which spyware are you referring to?

In order for it to be breaking and entering they have to "jimmy" or break something. Silly. Please don't become a lawyer. Not like we have to worry about that....tower:) |

If you penetrate an opening with anything (including a tool or a part of your body)you are effectively breaking. If you enter a partially constructed doorway to a house being built you have broken and entered. even though there is no actual door. -- It's viruses...the word virii does not exist. |
