Did they finally get a hold of your car Ylen? See, that's what you get for passing funeral processions and flipping off police officers |

| reply to RR Conductor That's rude and uncalled for. I know you're a gentleman so please tell ylen you're sorry before Bun comes looking for you.
BTW: Funeral cops are rarely police officers. Nearly all are simply private citizens making a few extra dollars. Their authority is strictly a result of the respect that people like you, me, ylen, and others grant to the poor bereaved family. -- "Government is the great fiction, through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else."--FREDERIC BASTIAT-- |

| Did you think I was being serious? I am just messin' with ya Oh, on the topic of police authority, they have authority to arrest and ticket you, in or out of uniform, off duty does not mean off the job. |

join:2001-11-13 | reply to ylen131 I think they can only ticket/arrest you for extreme reasons. But its unlikely as they don't want more hassle, just like a Brea police officer is unlikley to give you a regular speeding ticket on his way to work from Riverside. |

| reply to aztecnology aztec? Was the car okay? I've only known one other person who bought a car there and had nothing but problems with it. They had to get the transmission worked on almost immediately. (At this particular auction, they weren't able to "test drive" any vehicles.)

| If I recall, I think he ended up doing some work on the front end. He has not put very much money into it. I guess its just luck of the draw. Plus my dad is pretty hands on, he know what he's doing and knows what to look for... and knowing is half the battle -- .:|:.Tell a man there are 300 billion stars in the universe and he'll believe you.
