[Vonage] Vonage killed my Linksys RT31P2

Got an email yesterday from Vonage saying that they tried to upgrade my RT31P2 and during the process something happened and now my phones are dead. They said I should respond to the email and they would overnight me another adapter. Well I emailed them back right away, and guess what appeared today.... NOTHING!!!

I emailed them again today and told them how displeased I was (especially since I work from home...) and that I wanted additional measures taken to make amends for their goof.

Anyone else get a message like this?

Not a vonage user, but I'd be pissed.

When you return the dead unit...include a "Stink Bomb" that activates when opened.

WARNING-This may be illegal:D

I starting to think Vonage is all hype. it is very hard to get a CS rep on the phone and if you do they act or sound like they have no clue on anything.

Today I get all busy singals when tring to talk to a Crappy Service Rep.

They can charge me $15 I think I will cancel when I get my router because, Brighthouse may suck but I can get a CS on the phone anytime I want compare with vonage lousy CS they provide.

phone service is only one part of a good voip provider customers the other. If a customer can't talk to a live person about issues then what good is it?

What do you guys think about the providers switching adaptors all the time?

Having 3-4 different endpoints on your network has got to be a pain in the ass for a voip provider.

I havn't ran into that but, if vonage tells me I have to change from the Linksys Router to another device. If it is free shipping and everything I don't see an issue but, if they kept doing it I would leave.

Well, it is now 4 days after they were supposed to have replaced my router and still nothing, so I have taken care of it for them. I am currently installing an AT&T CallVantage Router and will shortly be dropping Vonage altogether. While they are $5 cheaper than AT&T, I cant deal with being without a phone for 4 days considering that I work from home and have really bad cell coverage out here (I normally forward my cell to my 'landline')

Sorry Vonage, maybe when you grow up and realize that in order to retain customers you actually need to have customer service that 1. gives a damn, and 2. actually knows what they heck they are doing I might consider coming back...

Later...

Yep, and sent an email reply using ReadNotify yesterday night and my email was not read O' and I sent an email to the CEO which he opened but never replied to I called Vonage yesterday and they told me a tech would call me back to verify the box was dead Which of course never happened! Seriously they really need to hire some more qualified techs.

The only good news I have is that when I called Vonage today I spoke to a nice lady who said she would ship a new unit out right away

I told her I do IT/IS work for a living. The box is fried just please send me a new one. I don't want anymore hassles, etc. She was sooo nice She said yup your box is fried, lol! The I told her I would send back the old POS back to them on Monday. She said don't worry about it you can wait until your new one arrives. Don't know why they would want it back? I hope Vonage does not stupe so low as to try to refurbish it, lol.

When I returned my old Motorola boat anchor they tried to tell me I send them an empty box! Granted they did not get to far with the BS!

It really f!@#$% sucks when they want $50.00-100.00 as a security that you will send their old POS back to them. Then say we never got it!

Actually that is highly illegal to do! Don't ask me to quote law but that would be considered dangerous and you would end up in handcuffs so fast your head would spin!
