| LAN Connection Timeouts I have 2 PC's. 1 desktop connected to a lan port on a D-link 802.11g router and a laptop running wireless. Whenever I'm online with one PC or both I keep losing both LAN connections. I suspect the DSL is timing out or just slows way down, but Sprint can't see any problem. I have a co-worker who had the same issue and he switched to roade runner and his problem stopped. Any ideas? It's a pain to switch, but I'm getting no where.
I have the sane problem if I remove the router and connect directly to the DSL modem.

| Re: LAN Connection Timeouts You will need to contact tech support again with your modem going directly to your best machine. Have them run some speed test and to check your line. Sometimes, I hate to say, but you may need to call in a few times to get a tech who will figure out the problem. | |

| Since this is happening on 2 pc's, sounds like there could be a problem with the modem. Is your modem bridged(when just a pc is hooked up, you would probably connect using a username/password)?

| Re: LAN Connection Timeouts It all depends on if you bridged the modem, are you setup PPPoE in the first place or DHCP. I'm not sure. We have some bridged modems some that are NAT modems. 9 times out of 10, its a problem with the line before its a bad modem.
