It sounds like when you are using the router, the Contivity client is still able to connect to the VPN server.
If you take a look at the VPN client while it is active it should state if it is using NAT Traversal feature and which UDP port it is using. If you are not able to find this information you will need to check with your network administrator.
Do you get an IP address from the same IP Pool when using the router or does the Contivity provide you an address from a different range? If it is a different address there could be filters (either on the Contivity or other network hardware) blocking the RTP/UDP packets which the voice is carried over. |
