[Notebooks] Need sub $1,000 help

I need to buy a notebook computer for my business. I'd like to buy a Dell Inspiron 1150, but the prices are just too high for me.

My requirements:
-NOT a Sony. I have had nothing but problems with friends/coworkers who have had Sony VAIOs.
-pentium processor (I don't want Celeron crap)
-internal wireless b/g
-256+ MB RAM (I'd settle for 256 instead of 512 as long as I could upgrade in the future)
-built in 10/100 NIC

Doesn't matter:
-monster hard drive (30 GB is enough)
-CDRW doesn't matter, as long as it's something that I could possibly upgrade in the future
-operating system (I have my own copy of Win XP Pro)
-MS Office (I have my own copy of MS Office 2003 Pro)
-new or refurb (from Dell Outlet, etc)

What are your best suggestions? I'd like to NOT purchase on eBay as I don't trust the people there for a large purchase like this.

Thanks so much.

Just got a Toshiba A75 2112 couple weeks ago from Best Buy to replace my HP zt1175. Upgraded memory to 1gig for less than 100 bucks. I'm happy! »www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/cmo···=1291021

Looks like the lowest priced unit is $1,379. Anything cheaper out there, I'm looking for $1,000.

Just got a 1681. Didn't come with a Windows XP CD. Just some restore CD's. Is this normal?

I bought a Toshiba A75-2112 from CompUSA for $1329.00 (after a 150.00 rebate). I LOVE IT !!! I was looking for something under $1000.00 as well, but for the money and the quality (mobil Pentium 4,80 G HD, Windows XP Prof.)it was well worth it. I looked all over (Best Buy,Dell, etc) and couldn't find a better deal. Good Luck. Ken
