Re: Sunbelt is wicked

Yes they will actually, check out there site, they have there own team, they are the most comprehensive anti spyware software on the market and they are recieving the microsoft updates on top of there own sources, they will be around long after the rest of them quit working as they are not only the most popular paid spyware company but they are now recommended, sold and supported by Dell.

They are currently updated with microsoft till 2007, they are and will continue to be updated by their own team and the threatnet community. Honestly, try it out and you will see they arent going anywhere

StraightShoot, you're right on many things, but on this one, I think you may have been given incorrect information.

We fully own this code. It is not some "licensed" version of the Microsoft product. We are innovating on it at a rapid pace with our own team.

CounterSpy is actively being developed by a world-class team of developers here at Sunbelt. Our research team is also adding definitions to what Microsoft sends us. With CounterSpy, you get two layers of definitions: Microsoft's and then ours.

As the Microsoft statement says, we get their definitions until July of 2007. But we're already adding our own.

We're pleased CounterSpy did well in the new PC World shootout »www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/···2,00.asp and the enterprise version was just reviewed quite favorably in eWeek »www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1764149,00.asp

Sorry for the post, I just felt that I needed to step in and clear up any confusions.

And keep up the fight.
