| reply to adslreport Re: [Help] Nero Recode Problem
Nero, in an attempt to curtail piracy and the trading of invalid keys, has a few ... uh ... "issues" with which products use which keys and which keys are valid for what.
It seems like every time they release an update, they end up RE-releasing that update a few days later to fix "a corrupted download". Of course, the installer CRC checks everything during unpacking and it's all fine, so what was "corrupted"? Their keylist, that's what!
Currently, the version of NeroVision Express 3.1.0.0 that's on their site does NOT work with my key, even though my key IS VALID for NeroVision. *sigh* I'm sure it'll be fixed soon, in the meantime I'm forced to pretend I'm a pirate and download a keygen. |

Or better yet: enter a valid Nero Digital serial in Nero. Note that you'll end up with one serial for Nero Reloaded or Ultra and another one for Nero Digital. 2 serials.
Edit: Just to clarify that the Nero Reloaded / Nero Ultra serial doesn't validate Nero Digital at least in NVE 3.1. You'll need the Nero Digital serial too.

| reply to Blueghost said by Blueghost :I had the exact same problem. I emailed Nero Support and it took about a week to get a reply. They said it was a corrupt download and instructed me to re-download and install Recode. I did it and it installed fine. Thanks for the info. Another good reason to always check the MD5 of downloaded files. -- "I'm as sure as I can be... without any, you know, proof!" - Adrian Monk |
