I'm sure they will start working on some new features such as getting the firewire ports active to work with external HD's.
I have a DCT-6200 and I have no problems hooking it up via Firewire to my Mac Mini and recording HD to it.
Same here...I use firewire to my JVC DVHS with no problems. I did have problems with my older non DVR HD unit (forgot which DCT it was) but my dual tuner DVR streams just fine. Putting tons of HD content (eg LOTR) on HD-DVHS.
