Do you have modchips installed? Here's from Toxic's readme
-> Disable Mode
When playing online games it is often necessary to disable the modchip so you do not get a DNAS error while connecting to the online game server. To disable DMS4, hold down L1 on controller 1 as the PS2 is booting. You will see a message saying that the modchip has been disabled. Insert your game and reset the console - the modchip will not be disabled and will stay disabled until the PS2 is placed in standby. -- In a perfect world... spammers would get caught, go to jail, and share a cell with many men who have enlarged their penisses, taken Viagra and are looking for a new relationship. |

| reply to lyts85 Its really irritating. My isp say contact sony, sony say contact ur isp, although in all fairness my isp made the bold suggestion of... "Have u tried opening the relevant ports on ur firewall?" to which i reply "my firewall is disabled because that was my theory too" to which i got the reply... "urmm... I think you should contact sony" doh!! Ull laugh when i tell u i work as an IT\Network administrator... lmfao |

| Just attempted to network my PS2. All configured fine and all tests passed but whenever you try and play an online game or register i get "-612: No response from DNS Server"?? yet it just passed the dns test, all tests for that matter. im using internet connection sharing with winxp pro connected directly via a crossover cable. Also tried with (windows) firewall disabled still no joy. Any ideas?? |
