| said by MagMan :I thought everybody had to if they where a member,I received a reminder about updating my review:D That "nag screen" appears to nearly everyone who has not updated their review in awhile. I'm not sure what that time period is... several months, if not a year, but it's a common occurence and you do have the option of not reviewing if you choose. There is no requirement that you do a review. It's just that the site is pretty well dedicated to providing first-hand information about the various available ISPs for anyone who is "shopping" for one. -- "Get down off your cross... use the wood to build a bridge... and get over it! -- Titus | |

| Re: Review of your ISP It is a couple of times a year - I think I have been prompted once this year and was prompted at the end of last year.... It used to be every 2 weeks or so - a long time ago. -- Brian America's Army Forum Moderator and America's Army Beta Tester | |

Again thanks.

1 edit | As you can see under my name, I have done a review of my ISP. But most likely my posts are too short, and BBR cut it off, and you have to make a long post like this one is supposed to be. Hopefully this post is long enough to show my ISP, because I am trying to make it long enough.
EDIT: And it is long enough -- Don't Walk!

| Re: Review of your ISP
I like Valor myself, i think the only problem i have noticed with them is the fact that Valor tend to over sell the bandwidth they have available in the location you will be having to use to access the internet. There ADSL is very popular from what i gather in my area.just a month or so ago they added a total of 4 T-1 cards in the D slam, and the sped was terrific, now its slowing down to much. I had to make many phone calls just to get them to upgrade my area, which was due for an upgrade eventually, it just seemed to motivate them more, in a faster fashion, so i have made a few phone calls again, and there is going to have to be an addition of more bandwidth in my area.
Other than that they are fantastic.

| Sadly I did a couple of times, but no longer. This sites policy of mandating the retention of Obsolete reviews is dumb and misleading. Newcomers are seeking Information that is fresh and reflects an ISPs current abilities, as they do go through management style cycles. An ISP that was good two years ago, may truly suck today, and visa versa. My 2¢ YMMV -- Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored. Aldous Huxley | |

My 2¢ YMMV But if a person looked thru the reviews then they could see wether the general direction of the ISP is trending up or down by being able to see the old reviews. I would feel a lot better about an ISP that was crappy then got a LOT better than by an ISP that only had reviews 6 months to a year old that said everything was dandy. -- Brian America's Army Forum Moderator and America's Army Beta Tester
