Mcalester, OK

ICANN has made hijacking easier.

They actually relaxed the rules governing domain transfers. This change made cnet headlines a couple of months back. This is ironic they would be investigating how it happened. We can in fact expect to see more of this. But ICANN's changes is the reason why.

My registrar is Godaddy. When ICANN's changes went into effect, my reg. sent me an e-mail explaining the changes and also their ensueing changes to prevent disasters made so easy by ICANN's idiocy.

Godaddy now provides a method to "lock" my various domains. No changes are allowed without my express approval. ICANN's changes basically allow changes to domains unless owners say no instead of not allowing unless owners give the OK. This rates as one of the stupidest moves yet by an Internet rules maker.

Godaddy is in my opinion a top notch operation who is looking out for their customers. Unlike others(and ICANN) I have dealt with. I'm sure there are other good registrars. But I'm stickking with godaddy who has taken care of me as a service provider should.
