Yes it is free and completely legit. Check the panicstruckpro website for the torrent link. My download seemed to speed up at the end. 3.5GB is alot to grab off a torrent, so almost 3 days isn't terrible for retrieving it I guess. I had just hoped for better speeds. I hope to get a chance to watch it tonight. |

2 edits | Odd the link I clicked for the movie didn't seem to offer that when I was looking this AM. It just had the small Quicktime downloads. Thanks for the link. The torrent files seem to be linked here »www.lysator.liu.se/%7ezap/revelations/

Actually that is horrible time. Well depending on who is hosting and serving the file. Like I said above I'll probably have this Star Wars file before the Pope funeral file is even done. But if the file is being hosted on a good server with good seeds. And there is no ISP interference. You should be able to get the file in a half a day or less.
Looks like I may have misspoke. This Star Wars file is coming in way slow so far. Even though it looks as if tons of people are serving it up. |

| I decided to DL the free Stars Wars DVD's to see how my DL's compared to others on Insight. I've never had many problems with BT (ABC BT Client) some torrents are real fast (300-400kB/s) some are slow (15-30kB/s). I also never use the default ports, I open the ones I use in my router and use zone alarm on the PC giving BT full server privileges.
So far I'm getting about 98-108kB/s on DVD1 and about 35-43kB/s on DVD2. DVD1 reports that it has 450+ seeders and DVD2 reports it has around 250. Seems the DL should be much faster. |

1 edit | I'm not sure what the issue is. I can't seem to get any decent speed on either of my downloads. Maybe it's my client or a setting has gotten dorked up. I'm thinking of trying to find a new client. But last time I had a look at other software. Nothing really gave me the options and features of my current software. But that software is Java based and kills my machine in resources.
Update - updated a setting in my router ( I'd forgotten I needed to change this ) - updated my client settings a bit. And now speeds are better. But not 100% brilliant just yet. -- Test Your Security Cable Diagnostics Iggyz Blog ZoneAlarm Help |

| reply to jared5494 InsightBB is clearly blocking traffic when you're only seeding. I switched to my wireless card and jumped on somebody's ameritech DSL and all of my torrents began successfully seeding. Then I switched back and refreshed trackers, nothing would fully connect.
InsightBB is being shady. |

| While I'm not saying that this in fact may not be true. I find an anonymous posting somewhat suspect. Like I stated here »Re: As of May 3 I think bittorrent is blocked
If SBC is going to try and drum up business in the forum. It might be wise for them to offer DSL to all parts of areas they serve. It would also be wise for them to maybe consider "naked" DSL at a competitive price. Both of these things are something that we won't be seeing SBC doing any time soon. -- Test Your Security Cable Diagnostics Iggyz Blog ZoneAlarm Help |

| reply to RMCii I think using someone elses connection is a bit shady too.
I just wish that insight would be up fornt and honest with its customers about how much they are restricting their internet connection. I also didn't like how they snuck this in during spring break. |

| Cogeco is also experimenting with Sandvine in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I cannot download at more than 15k/s, and I can not upload at more than 5k/sec. I run a callcentre that does end user support for 5 different ISPs. I called Cogeco support, they said to e-mail, I e-mailed them, they said to call, so I am moving out of there area into Roger's.

| I've found that if I limit my maximum number of connections at 75 or below my connection stays alive, but if I go above that my connection keeps dying. This was not the case until just the last month or two. Before then I had no such problems. I am located in lexington, KY, btw. |

I've been having problems for the last few days, usually getting single digit ul/dl rates. Using BitTornado, I dropped my "max peer connections" to 60 and jumped up to 40-60 kB/s just like it used to.
I'm not sure why that makes a difference now, but it does.
(PS - Iggy needs to abandon D'Arcy's Pint and go somewhere in town that serves 'real' horseshoes!! ) |
