| [General] Speakeasy and Packet 8 or speakeasy home office+
Speakeasy Home office plus or Package 8 I'd appreciate anybodys experience with these companies. I would like to get rid of my MCI land locked telephone line and get VoIP. Speakeasy seems to have an all encompassing plan with DSL that does not require a phone line (onelink DSL).(1.5/384 dedicated line). That is the home office plus. But, in reading some forums; people seem to say they underestimate the final cost.
So, I'm wondering whether I'd be better off going with package 8 VoIP (I think its cognigen) and getting the speakeasy Home ADSL service (728/128).
I am technically challanged so I will need customer support. If you have dealt with these companies or plans I'd appreciate your thoughts on the subject the positives and the negatives
Also, do you get an explorer or netscape and do they integrate with foxfire?
One other question; I do medical billing at home. I call into the office which uses a unix program with an emulating program called tiny term. The modem in the office is a US robotics 33.6 as is mine; for fear that I will reset the office modem that transmits to Medicare and DPW at slow speeds. Will I have problems dialing into the modem at work.?
Any advise will be much appreciated and needed. Thanks, |

I would take the Onelink DSL.
They both have good customer support.
You can use whatever browser you wish to.
The dial in office connection will probably not work with Packet 8.
