| [vonage] rt31p2 line 2 not working
hi all,
Have vonage for a while now and it works better than i expected...
I only connect the phone to the line 1 on the back of the rt31p2 adapter.
whenever i connect another phone to line 2, the light in front does not lit, if i connect that phone to line 1, then it working...
What do i have to do to get line 2 working or I need to buy a splitter to get 2 phones hookup to line 1
I have OOL modem - linksys wrt54g - rt31p2...

| If you are only paying for one line, then line 2 doesn't have service, if your trying to connect 2 phones to the same line (number), then yes you need a splitter. Line 2 is for a different line (number)

oh thanks a lot for clearing it out...
i thought i can hookup two phones into line 1 and line 2...
since i only have 1 line plan, i'll buy a splitter..

Also for future reference line 1 or line 2 are not supposed to light up when you plug a phone into them. They are lighted up because they are registering with Vonage every 16 seconds. If they stop registering then the lights go out. |
