RAYA DSL IS THE WORST DSL COMPANY IN EGYPT
I WAS WITH THEM FOR 1 YEAR ( SPEED 512 )
THE WAS PROBLEM IN THE LINE ABOUT 12 TIMES DURING THE YEAR
THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY BAD
THEY ANSWER YOU AND SAY THAT EVERY THING WILL BE OKAY
BUT YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM ABOUT 100 TIMES EVERY TIME THE LINE IS DOWN
IT TAKE FROM 3-5 DAYS SOMTIMES ABOUT 10 DAYS TO LET YOU LINK BACK
ALL THERE ANSWER THAT THEY ARE SORRY AND ALL THE TIME THEY FIX THERE NETWORK
THERE DOWNLOAD SPEED IS VERY BAD
AT THE BETTER TIME IT IS ABOUT 25 KB
I AM NOW WITH LINK IT IS GOOD ,THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY GOOD
THERE DOWNLOAD IS GOOD
AND FOR NOW THE 2 BEST IN EGYPT IS
LINK.NET AND TE-DATA
I HAVE A FRIENDS IN T-DATA THEY SAY IT IS GOOD. |

For TEdata, what are their rates for leased lines (for home network) lets say what are their rates for 512kbps moving to 2mbp? (installation fees, flat fees, any other..time taking to installation)

| Hello peeps, i have Tedata ADSL LAN home network 5 months now, 256/1024 Kbps and at start it was perfect (1 month a go but after xmas i had really low download speeds (from 100k i had at the begining it dropped down to 5-15k). Basically i had this DSL connection so i could play a game called WoW(World of Warcraft) but now when in the traceroutes a gome across a hop thats flagtel.com related it made the game work like crap. If you have the game and you can play the game without a lot of probs in Cairo pls post what ISP ur using and with what pc and connection specs. Reply would be appreciated |

| well i'm also on TeData many years now and never had
a single problem downloading or surfing and my 128k/512k
is always at max, i play Call of duty 2, WoW, and many other
via gamespy and never anybody complained, besides my download
is always in the 50+kbps and upload around 14kbps.
a 1MB file took me 22 sec to get it, surfing is extremely
fast too with no lag or anything with pages opening in a flash.
after reading the horror stories in here i'm glad i joined
TEDATA and i wonder why you guys get bad speed after a few months with any ISP, i'm like 5 years now TeData and always at max & i never lower than 50k in speed tests.
if it's any help my modem is a DSL-210 by D-Link.
Tedata was the 1st ADSL i joined and it was an excellent choice. |

Goddammit. I just upgraded from 256kbps to 1mbps on link.net, it took 7 days. and after paying, i still didnt get that freakin' speed. wth?? 44KB/s download on 1mbps line?? i'm gonna cancel this tomorrow and ask for them to return my m oney ( cuz that's what they told me to do if my speed still slow ).
And i will definitely move to tedata, cuz i heard lots of good things about it. i wish i knew.... |

@196.202.x.x | well i got TEdata and dl speeds suck. I pay 1024Kbps and get lower than 30k most of the time and i dont havw any spyware or virus or anyting. Also their tech support sucks they dont know a thing and they dont answer any e-mails |

| bala nila can you explain to me what do you mean that you play WoW via gamespy? Also are you connecting to the EU servers or the US ones? Maybe its my router modem i'll try and change it. Can you post your PC and Network specs(NIC card e.t.c)? Pls nila answer to this post i'm desperate |

guys please we must do something to those ISPs ... they are stealing our money and faking us !
we must screw down and ruin their reputation everywhere  ;)
one solution : a good company must upgrade their servers and international bandwidth periodically in order to be able to serve and attract more and more users !
the theives here in egypt want to spend 1 LE and earn like 1000 LE for it !! |

i'm also a WOW-EU player and i use link.net and since xmas i've had unplayble lag to the game servers but only to WOW servers everything else works fine so i've cancelled my account untill this is fixed ,a friend told me 2 days ago though that u can call ur isp and and ask for a change in the ip ranges that u use ,since WOW-EU has some alot of trouble with thier isp ,apparently they are overutilized like the crappy isps here and they block certain ip ranges to make the the majority of players have no lag so that makes some players feel no lag at all and some few ones unable to connect to the game at all at peak times (5:00p.m-11:00p.m)

Hello sarcopehegus, i read about that yesterday on the forums so i tried it today with good results, at least at start. I changed my IP a couple of times by unplugging/plugging the cable and i could play from 3pm to 8:30pm without any problems, but then the net was busted again so i tried changing the IP again multipletimes (30+) and the lag was still there. If only i could keep my IP from changing. I read about ways to do that but with the ipcofig/all command i see my NIC's IP( my LAN's) so i couldnt do anything about that. Maybe i must find a way to configure my routers IP to be stable but i dont know how (my router/modem is a speedtouch 510), i'll call TEdata tomorrow to change my range of IP's with the hope it fixes anything. Too bad i thought my lag problems were gone  (btw my char is named Naturelf) |

| if you want to get a fixed IP = unchangable ip address you must call your isp to rent one !
its cheap i guess like 10 LE a month but if you do so you need a good firewall and you should secure your pc coz it will be like a parking for hackers if someone attacks your pc someday he will be able to trace you wherever you go |

but i'm using Tedata from 3.0 years and download
is at max on my current 1024/256k (108kb down/25kb up)
everyday since i've joined, so either you're all liar
or your computer/software/modem/knowledge is pure shit.
i think your central is the problem, used EGYNET (1999 to 2003) as 512k/128k and got 55kb everyday, then went with Tedata (2003 to 2006) 1024/256k and get 100kb everyday,
i always had 500ms ping but i get full download speed.
i heard when they split at the central sometimes it's not
properly installed and done most of the time and thats why the shit performance, it's the TECHNICIAN mistake not
ISP or bandwidth problem.
this happend to my friends in USA too, once they properly fix at central the splitting everything works @ full speed.
tell your ISP to send somebody to check at the central,
especially if you are with TEDATA and EGYNET, they will do it for real, if you're on LINK.net/Raya/menanet they will lie by telling you they tested and found everything OK.

| I'm a WoW player too. Same old, same old. Since mid Dec. game is unplayable during peak hours (I'm on Link.Net). It goes back to normal at around 3AM or so.
I do believe that it has something to do with the IPs because on rare occasions, myself and my friends get a good day.

forgot to mention that since TEDATA is the most important
part of Telecom Egypt, they are the most important ISP
in egypt and as such they upgrade their bandwidth,
unlike the other shit ISP in egypt like LINK/NOOR/NOL/RAYA..
that's a great company, and that's why i always recommended
it to everyone and all my friends are very happy after
years of use with TeData in Peak hours and night hours
always getting max download speed.
