DTA
It works! I just loaded the AR16 Firmware into my DTA-310 and it boots with that firmware... I noticed that these were very similar devices a while back... posted in the forum, but could never find the firmware. Nice job! Now to see if it works any better with this firmware...

Edit: it seems there are new options to configure too...

Kewl!! I'd love to mess around with it but I don't have any extra dta's. I don't want to mess up my P8 service...

Keep us posted on anything you find such as CODECs, etc. I also want to know if you can upgrade back to the P8 firmware after you do all this and if anything will remain the same.:)

Call Info
Well, it works right away with Broadvoice now... i changed the dialplan to "1xxxxxxxxxx|x.T|x.#" because it wasn't dialing out with the default dialplan... Inbound with caller id works too.

Edit: i also renamed the .rom firmware file to a .bin file just in case... this shouldn't make a difference though.

Re: [Packet8] BPA-410 ...or is it BVA8052 ?!?

Got it to work with FWD!!! works with echo test, 1800 numbers, and FWD numbers... Incoming caller ID and audio are working... here are the settings:

Server Address: fwdnat.pulver.com
Port: 5082
Domain Name: fwd.pulver.com
I used this dialplan to test: xxx|xxxxx|*1xxxxxxxxxx|x.T|x.#

Codecs, G711U, G711a, G723

wouldn't work right with just fwd.pulver.com in both settings?!?!?

Re: [Packet8] BPA-410 ...or is it BVA8052 ?!?

Here are FWD settings direct from Leadtek FAQ :

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
How do I configure the system to work with FWD?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

SIP Server Address: fwd.pulver.com
SIPServer Port: 5060
Domain Name: fwd.pulver.com
Phone Number: The fwd phone number
SIPPort: 5060
User Name: The fwd phone number (not your fwd account name)
Password: The fwd password
Call ID: optional

We suggested that you use fwd STUN server. Go to NAT Traversal tab where:

STUN Server: stun.fwdnet.net

Working fwd dial plan:

"*1xxxxxxxxxx|x.T|x.#"

tested:
fwd 6 digit number - direct call
fwd 3 digit number - direct call
1800 number - dial * first

Re: [Packet8] BPA-410 ...or is it BVA8052 ?!?

Now we have both fwd and broadvoice working, is there any way to call between the two services?

From the fwd softphone, I can call BV by bv#@sip.broadvoice.com. How can I call from the real phone?

By real phone do you mean the Broadvoice hard phone or a FWD hard phone?

Re: [Packet8] BPA-410 ...or is it BVA8052 ?!?

Sly: I meant to say from Fwd hard phone. I searched and found that Fwd can call **282+BV number to read BV. But I still need to find a dial plan to do that.

Still pending questions: how to call fwd from BV?

Re: [Packet8] BPA-410 ...or is it BVA8052 ?!?

I don't think Broadvoice peers with FWD, hence no way to call FWD from BV.

Wow, caller info on the web interface of the DTA! I smell a GetDTA Samurize plugin around the corner! LOL

We followed the directions according to jds17j to setup a dta for broadvoice and couldn't get it to work. We just got the message light.
Tried it on two dta´s with the same result. Whats the problem?
