| Re: [Packet8] BPA-410 ...or is it BVA8052 ?!? I can tell you that the sip13.12 firmware unlocked is useless
Packet8 hard-coded several key settings (sip server and domain) so when u change them, they change back !
I did not post it for that reason-- its no good for non-packet8 uses.

| Re: [Packet8] BPA-410 ...or is it BVA8052 ?!? There are some known differences with Sip13.12 (the Packet8 firmware) and this firmware... I do not reccomend you try to load the Leadtek (AR16) firmware on a DTA310 intended for use with Packet8 service..
For example: Packet8 uses a custom "stun" type NAT traversal (conveniently, they labeled it "PACKET8" )..
It is just not worth it. But, hey, you can do it if you want..
I would imagine that you will be breaking the TOS by doing it.. be careful, they may attempt to collect on your return of the DTA if it is loaded with a custom firmware...

Anyone about to cancel P8 and feel like testing? Even if we unlock anything the password will be ***** I don't think there is a need to do so as Packet8 will start get their failure results, the failure to have satisfied customers who wanted to have a softphone or use their own devices, how they feel now when a customer cancel Packet8 service and use the DTA-310 to join another service like INX or Broadvoice ? both services allow unlimited at $20, softphone and BYOD, may be it is the time for Packet8 to think for real how to satisfy their customers needs
