I do'nt know if this is helpful, but the full message was: "STOP¨:0x000000D1 (0x7199DF52,0x00000002,0x7199DF52) DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL3 I ca'nt imagine really any driver involved in the problem. Instead, I realize that I used Norton AV and I uninstalled it before loading and installing Avast AV. So, Norton has a very bad reputation as for the traces it puts in the registry very difficult to delete. My idea now is to clean registry of every remembrance of Norton and try once more to launch Avast. Am I right so far? |

If a file is identified in the crash, especially a third party driver, that may help pinpoint why this is occurring.
The problem may be with a driver already on your system. Or a clash between drivers.
Do you recall when the problem started? Did it coincide with any change to your system?
Did the BSOD's occur when you just had NAV? |
