Fake JTF2 Memorabilia for Sale on EBAY Josh Pringle Sunday, March 27, 2005
The Canadian Forces has declared war on those selling fake Joint Task Force 2 memorabilia on EBAY.
A spokesperson says fake crests in full colour, identification tabs for uniforms and rank badges with the JTF-2 emblem have been selling on the internet auction site over the last few months. The patches are being sold for 20 dollars US.
For security reasons, members of the elite commando unit do not wear any identifying insignia for the JTF-2. |

Speaking of stealthy police vehicles I was down in Windsor this weekend and saw a new black Chevy Silverado SS that was lit up like a Christmas tree! It had someone pulled over on the EC Row expressway.
Told my dad about it (he works for WPS) and he said yeah, they just took delivery of that "ghost" car last week. -- "It's all coming down!!" - Mike Holmes |

They were a stones throw from the Lansdowne crossing(terrorist central). I might not have known what their name was but I know how they were dressed. I definitely remember the knee and elbow pads. The 9mm handguns strapped to their legs and pocket covered uniforms. It was winter yet they weren't wearing jackets and you could easily tell they were wearing bullet proof vests under their cloths. The picture I posted closely resembles what I saw. Dunno what you saw; but I see the Peel and OPP ETF a lot at an esso station in meadowvale (where they take their yukons through the car wash). Coincidence there is a tim hortons inside?
P.S. Peel/OPP ETF wear exactly what you described. Black or navy uniform (can't tell) with the same colour of badge on the side so it blends right in. Guns everywhere. *shrug*. -- Hail to the Nipple-Titan. |

No it was a van that I had seen. The only way I knew it was a police vehicle were the flashing headlights and the little flashing lights up in the dash.
That and it had a car stopped. |

They were dressed like this without the headgear and rifle. |
Cool, I did personally see them on the 401 at a service area. I didn't know what their official names were but now I do. You could see the confidence in their eyes and that they knew their jobs.

| reply to digitalfutur The V-8's in the Charger, Magnum and 300C are all "Hemi". The 5.7 and 6.1 litre engines are Hemi's, (well lets face it, quite a few engines have hemispherical chambers) it is DaimlerChrysler trademark after all
Most likely though, the 3.5 V-6 would do the job for a police magnum used as a support vehicle -- I will choose a path that's clear I will choose free will. |

I can't see the Hemi V-8 being used in the police cruiser, though a regular V-8 would be.
Long-term reliability of the multi-displacement Hemi is unknown. -- The less you have to say the longer it takes. |

Around Ottawa, the cops out on 17 even use an undercover type dark coloured van. Were they vans or SUV's with blacked out windows? If that's the case those are special forces. Something like SWAT down south. I've seen them myself in full combat fatigues and Velcro strapped automatic handguns on the leg. I was picking them up chatting back and forth on my scanner but they were big time encrypted. |
