Re: [XP Home] Cannot Drag and Drop

I am using the single click but I have always had that setting with no problems...

I am using a Logitech MX1000 Laser Mouse... but again that has been working fine an I have made no adjustments to the settings that I have been using there for months...

I do have the hot fix 890047 that was mentioned in the link in the last post but it looks like it was installed on 1/21/05... and this just started... AND I'm not seeing where to uninstall this hot fix.... it is not listed in the add/remove.... where else or how can I uninstall it?

Also per the :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\ACTIVE SETUP\INSTALL COMPONENTS\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}

Locate IsInstalled, double click on IsInstalled-----change value from 1 to 0

the IsInstalled entry is not listed so I have nothing available to change the value to try the IE restore per the suggested guidelines.

EDIT:
Duh... so I tick the show updates in the add/remove to find the hotfix and uninstalled it... lotsa warnings ignored... rebooted and received a message that IE6 had been removed.... check the above registry and the IsInstalled is back with a "0"... however IE6 is installed
version 6.0.2900.2180xpsp2 and working....
and the drag and drop problem is still happening....

Don't know where to go next.... uninstall reinstall SP2 ?
