Re: NIC caused freezes I am not sure if it's just a defective NIC or if all the Kingstons have this problem but only with certain motherboards or systems. Does anybody think replacing a Kingston KNE111TX for another Kingston KNE111TX will solve download issues? If so I might include it in the FAQ, though it is so cheap to just buy another brand NIC and more convenient than making a trouble ticket. -- need a desktop support or tier 1 helpdesk tech job in a corp atmosphere in DFW, Austin, or Houston? Please let me know if you know a place hiring for people with only a year's experience. |

| I would personally go with another brand NIC. There also seem to be issues with on board NICs like the ones Compac in particular uses. Although that is a different set of problems. Hmm, maybe a new thread with recommended hardware would be good. Get a bunch of input and then organize the results in a FAQ entry.
Things like: •NICs •modems •routers •UPS/Surge Protectors •cables •filters
It would be a nice list to have. |
