When I ran an on demand scan, the GUI opened, showed the progress of the scan and when finished, it stayed open until I closed it. Yes that is correct. The GUI for a scheduled scan will only remain open for you to close if something was detected. The GUI for an on demand scan remains open because the program figures you were there to start it so you should also be there to close it.
