One of things that has always been missing in Firefox is a static icon on the desktop like IE can display, with its own custom commands.

With these .reg files, you can add a Firefox icon to your desktop with similar options as IE. Just run Firefox-On.reg and refresh the desktop to enable the icon, and run Firefox-Off.reg to remove it.

The code box cut up a couple of long lines, so look for the asterisk that is the lines that were cut because of their length.

What happens when you click on 'Options'? Is it the same as going to Tools>Options in the FF browser window? That would be sweet!

Yes it will open the options dialog box.

Mine has more options and I have ones for FF and TB

If you are using Windows 98 right click on the file and select Edit and replace Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 with REGEDIT4 and then save the file. Now click it and see if it will install.
