| reply to H S Re: DCT-6412 Sync. Problem
DVI has two-way communication. The box and TV talk back and forth to determine compatibility. Switching like that probably confuses the cable box. You could try unplugging/replugging the DVI cable, although that is probably no better than turning the box off and on.
The current DCT6412 firmware is 9.15, although it's still being rolled out. 9.12 is still the most common. Someone reported having a 9.17. The box should automatically update when it's authorized if it was not up to date. |

| Update. Upon going into the set up menu and changing the settings, 480P, 1080i and back to the 720P setting, has corrected one problem. The 6412 will now output all channels to the DVI output.
The synch problem persits. The problem is there with the output feeding the projector directly, so the switch box/repeater cannot be the cause. Also, a DVD player with DVI output (Set to 720P) works without issue through the switch box. |

It's a pain in the butt to get it to work properly as it was never designed to do what it is currently doing. You'll have to deal with this issue until they can nail it down. It's a bummer but not much you can do about it. |
