What O/S will run on this System?

I just received a free, completely intact IBM RS/6000 Server with Power PC 604e CPU, 512mb ECC DRAM, 9.1 Ultra SCSI, 2mb Matrox Millenium PCI video card.

It's currently freezing when trying to mount the HDD, and says it has AIX installed. I'm assuming I can't run XP on it...lol so what flavor of Linux or 'user friendly' unix will run on this??

AIX is what's made for that box.

There's got to be a Linux around that will run on it. If you can't run Linux on it then it's not a computer.

There may some other bastard OS that will run on it, but the one built for it is AIX.

That's an expensive box and it uses expensive software. After all, it's a "server".
