I need to create a basic web page for my business and need to choose software so I can do it. Any suggestions for a beginner that does not want anything that involves codes and html. |

No software exists that makes it easy to do what an experienced professional does.
Sorry if this sounds snarky, but in good conscience, I can't recommend anything. You will be selling yourself short without taking time to learn some HTML (and CSS, preferrably). If you are against learning, I recommend hiring someone that knows what they are doing and can provide you with a website that will actually help your business.

Probably the simplest thing for a beginner to use are WYSIWYG packages that come with a bunch of templates (FrontPage comes to mind), but you'd need to know whether the server you have in mind using has Front Page extensions available.
Since you said this is for a business (that presumably, someone would like to be profitable.) you'd be better off really learning how to do it yourself or hiring the job out. |

Dreamweaver, Frontpage, etc. are great have a steep learning curve, even some of the WYSIWYG programs take a while to learn.
May I suggest for Vitaman for a quick, easy down and dirty site that doesn’t look too bad and is pretty easy to do would to look at 1and1’s online website creator at »www.1and1.com
I used the online site builder for a site I wanted to get up quick and didn’t want to mess around creating from scratch. It was easy, fast and came out pretty well. Not as flexible and powerful as doing it in Dreamweaver but it was quick and easy. |

I concur wholeheartedly.
If you master CSS, you can minimize the rest of the code, and maximize the effectiveness of your designs. Plus, the majority of what you'll do will be easily portable to the next job.
Plus you can acheive almost instantly with CSS what would cause a 20KB webpage to load in 12 - 15 seconds.
You can find a lot of CSS shortcuts and techniques at alistapart.

I'm amazed what I've found I can do from a little bit of interest that alistapart gave me in getting rid of the old cluttered table HTML/Javascript and moving into simple CSS layouts.

Agreed, CSS is deffinately the way to go for a professional, COMPLIANT website. Also for large sites it is amazing for cutting down on code. I find using php includes saves alot of code as well as you can create the shell for the site then pull all your content into it rather than havin 10 pages with menu's and headers on them, therefore the client only loads the shell once, any images etc. Learn the coding yourself or hire it out to someone who knows what they are doing, especally if it for a business don't half-ass it with a webpage builder.
