Anyone know a program like ObjectDock but uses less resources?

i don't know how much the current objectdoct used, but i've been using yzdock, not fancy but it does what i want

My Vm is up 86,068 (pretty high if you ask me) and my Mem usage is 4,476.

No, but I know a few that have from another forum I attend. They liked it better than OD. As far as memory usage goes, I have no idea.

How much memory usage is OD taking up on your system? My screeny is what mine uses. I have OD set to auto hide when I am not using it. That may help since the icons are not displayed unless you need them

What do you mean it shows you what programs are running? If you mean what I think you mean, then yes you can turn that off. I know I did.

 Y'z Dock isnt being made anymore but it can still be found (PM me if you cant find it).. Apparently it was SO good that Apple threatned to sue Mr. Y ..
Dockletts are (or, were last time i looked) still being made for it..

Go into the configure dock settings. Set yours up like I show in my screenshot. This will keep icons for currently running programs from appearing.

Actually it might be the upper option above what I have circled that needs to be unchecked.

Not sure about that.

So you have yours set to auto hide? The only thing that makes memory use go up on my system is if I use OD alot. For example, run my cursor back and forth across all the icons, which creates alot of animation. Even doing that, it maxes out around 7,500K.

Yeah I have it on autohide and i don't even run my cursor across the icons. I only do it if I open up something that I need to run. I got my Mem usage down to 1,372 and my VM at 10,645. Thanks. I'll see if I can get my VM down a little bit.
