| Re: [DIRECTV] direct tv dish pointing Based on the info you have given the trees are blocking 119. A bearing of 242 points to the 110 sat, to reach the 119 sat one needs to rotate west 9 degrees. But ... trees are in the way at a bearing of 250, only 8 degrees from 242. And, yes, if a tree or some other structure is in the direct path, the signal can be completely blocked.
Solution: Move the dish higher such that the path to the sat is over the trees. Move the dish to the north such that the path is over the trees. Move the dish east to clear the trees. Or, a combination of all three. |
