| Netgear WGT624 losing connection
Hi.
I've had this wirless router for around 7 months now and i still run accross a problem when accessing some websites. For example when i try to look at different pages at www.pkeuro.com the router will basically lose the net connection. I have to unplug the router and power it back up and it works fine again.
I was wondering if anyone knows a way to tackle this problem that seems to occur with websites the router has to 'think hard' when connecting |

| I think the reason isn't which website u open..... The reason is Netgear WGT624 over heat........if u use 108Mbps(SuperG Mode)....... and now I use 54Mbps(b mode) everything is OK...... but it still auto-reboot 4- days.........
some guys did the heat test.......... »forum1.netgear.com/support/viewt···p?t=4435

| reply to admgamer Hi,
Forgive any cross post on my part. That Heat Test item in the last post is VERY important to resolutions with the routere's drops/resets !!!!!
Now a couple days after removing the "endCaps" on my router, my drops/.resets seem to have stopped. I chose this method initially because my router is already in the vertical position so removing both endcaps (and the rubber crossmember support part) has opened up the air flow considerably !
I also moved my cable modem away from the router so any heat it may have given off would not be drawn into the router.
I would rather not have to mod the router case to mount a fan and so far It seems like I won't have to.
