I think both those software packages use template files for the design, you'd just have to edit those files to look the same.

I don't think there's an easy way to do it other than by hand like that.
They do use template styles, each one has a template and c/mine uses a style sheet as well. I have been opening them up in notepad and trying different things. None of which have worked.
Looks like I have my work cut out for me considering I'm not that good of a designer.

Yes, it just takes some knowledge of HTML and CSS to get it, and some working knowledge of how the software integrates the templates helps as well.

I've helped "integrate" things like phpBB and Gallery into sites before, it's pretty much trial and error.
