This is one of the reasons why they are abandoning it. It's a pain in the butt to get it to work properly as it was never designed to do what it is currently doing. You'll have to deal with this issue until they can nail it down. It's a bummer but not much you can do about it.

From what I understand yes, it's supposed to be, but also backwards compatible so that they don't piss everyone off, again.
